#Florida House Judiciary Committee passes bill that would ban all children 15 and under from social media. Parents would not be allowed to permit their children to access social media.

@WordsmithFL this will get thrown out of the first court its taken to.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN @WordsmithFL I'm sure it will probably get laughed out of whatever serves as a legislature in Floriduh.
Apparently, in addition to not needing women, the GOP has decided they don't need children or teenagers aged 15 and under. You know, people that can't vote for at least another 3 years. I'm sure that will work out well too.
It will be judicially contested. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is what they're working on instead of home insurance?
@Bliss @LSWellesley @WordsmithFL
Well, d'uh. One doesn't want to solve actual problems. That's hard and stuff.
@Cosmichomicide @Bliss @LSWellesley @WordsmithFL
That and banning DEI from public universities.
“Wonder how some of my FL-friend college profs are feeling?” part the ?????
Yep
keeping people ignorant and isolated in every way possible.
Might I suggest banning adults from contacting minors on social media?
@WordsmithFL I hope they consulted with the tobacco industry to see how well this has worked for them.
@WordsmithFL I presume this also means that newspapers can't report tweets/posts/truths from politicians in case children read a newspaper. This won't fly with SCOTUS.
@WordsmithFL
So, parents' rights, Florida style.
