Alright, I want to see how many of us hate the same foods. 😂 Tell us one food that make you gag or ill just from the smell or a little taste of it. Annnnnnd go. I shall start and say liver.
@Myana 😂
@Myana @WhiteRose same. I gag when I'm around them. My mom loves beets & always gets so mad at me. Lol
@WhiteRose
Just one?
Coconut
@butch What is wrong with coconut???? 😂 🤣 jkjk
@WhiteRose
my grandfather brought a coconut back from visiting family in Puerto Rico when I was 3. I remember getting sick from it. And the 46 years since, I just never got over it.
And living in Virginia Beach, let's just say it's hard to get away from the smell of it in the summer.
@butch awwwwww, that is understandable. ❤️
@WhiteRose Cream of Wheat
@WhiteRose And gin, but not a food.
@misslovelymess We shall accept the gin
@WhiteRose liver too!
@FPonTheDL YESSSSSS *high fives
@WhiteRose *high fives back*
@FPonTheDL ❤️
@WhiteRose ❤️
@WhiteRose
Liver also. Smell is OK, but taste YuuuuK.
No wonder ppl who like it smother it with onions.
@Randy_S 😂 🤣
@WhiteRose Oatmeal. The sight alone is disgusting.
Liver for sure for me!
@disk4mat ❤️
@Agatha ah, I understand that. tbh i just recently started eating more mushrooms myself. I wasn't big on them before because of the reason you mentioned.
🤮 🚫🍄
Okra.
@Tarnagh never had but I am a little hesitant
It's best described as "asparagus packed with dog snot."
-1000/10 - wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
@Tarnagh 😂
@WhiteRose bananas 🍌
@foxtrax1 I used to eat a good many however I have cut back on them a lot. They do not appeal to me as much any more.
@WhiteRose I feel like it’d be healthy to like them, but I’ve had a gag reflex when smelling them for as long as I can remember. Only raw though. I can do banana bread.
@WhiteRose any seafood.
@WhiteRose
There are a couple of things I prefer to avoid, but to date, I have found no food I can't actually stomach.
They call me Stuey the *round* for a reason 🤣
@stueytheround 😂 🤣 Well, that is actually good.
@WhiteRose Both of my parents grew up poor. They were brought up in that "you eat what you're given or you don't eat" culture. They passed that on to me. You *acquire* the taste for things over time that you'd otherwise avoid.
Example:
I hated Marmite as a kid but now I can't get enough of the stuff.
Usually, in my experience it's not the ingredients but bad cooking that's the real problem.
@stueytheround great explanation Stuey. I grew up with parents who said similar to that. I also tho had a babysitter who knew I didn't like liver and lima beans and would on purpose cook them every night and would tell me that I have to rat everything on the plate before I could go into the pool to go swimming. She liked torturing me.
@WhiteRose That's just cruel! Sorry you went through that.
@stueytheround 😂 It is alright. I can laugh about it now. but dang yeah she was a an evil witch. was soooo glad when I stopped going to her.
My parents were the same I think a lot of us were brought up the same way.
@stueytheround not rat ugh eat. wth and me typoing.
@WhiteRose Liver! I gagged just reading your post.
@WendyForbes 😂 🤣 I am sorrrrrry! ❤️ 🤗
@WhiteRose No worries. Not nearly as bad as the time I accepted an h’or d’oeuvre from a waiter at a party, took one bite spit it in my hand and hid it in a nearby potted plant.
@WendyForbes 😂 🤣
@WhiteRose Eggs.👍
I can eat them *in* things if they're hidden (e.g. cakes and to be REALLY weird, I make great egg custards). But the smell & taste of eggs cooked in any other way whatsoever makes me gag.
I'm the same with cheese (and yes, I eat pizza). But all cheese just tastes like milk gone bad to me and makes me gag too, though weirdly the smell doesn't bother me. 🤢
I'm sure I was supposed to be vegan, but I drink gallons of milk & can eat custards 'til I explode, so that's out 😀
@BillyBones Now that is a little unique.
@WhiteRose I love how polite you are 😆
@BillyBones Why wouldn't I be. You are a sweet person. I will be sweet back. There is nothing wrong with you dear.
@BillyBones unique isn't bad.
@WhiteRose Oh I know, I was playing really. I've been that way with them my whole life, and no matter how often I try, the effects are always the same. So I'm used to the "But you eat custards" and "But you eat pizza", etc 😀 👍
@WhiteRose Beets... shudder.
