@stueytheround 😂 🤣 Well, that is actually good.
@stueytheround great explanation Stuey. I grew up with parents who said similar to that. I also tho had a babysitter who knew I didn't like liver and lima beans and would on purpose cook them every night and would tell me that I have to rat everything on the plate before I could go into the pool to go swimming. She liked torturing me.
@WhiteRose That's just cruel! Sorry you went through that.
@stueytheround 😂 It is alright. I can laugh about it now. but dang yeah she was a an evil witch. was soooo glad when I stopped going to her.
My parents were the same I think a lot of us were brought up the same way.
@stueytheround not rat ugh eat. wth and me typoing.
@WhiteRose Both of my parents grew up poor. They were brought up in that "you eat what you're given or you don't eat" culture. They passed that on to me. You *acquire* the taste for things over time that you'd otherwise avoid.
Example:
I hated Marmite as a kid but now I can't get enough of the stuff.
Usually, in my experience it's not the ingredients but bad cooking that's the real problem.
