And Jon Stewart goes full metal racist. I’m not surprised.

Wyatt Cenac: “People seemed surprised Jon’s criticism was towards the media and not Hinchcliffe, who he called ‘very funny,’ excusing the comedian’s participation in a xenophobic rally as the fault of the organizers for booking a ‘roast comedian.’ Having worked for Jon, his response wasn’t really surprising. Disappointing but not surprising.”

Sad Stewart is to the right of many Republican politicians.

@feloneouscat

Hinchcliffe wasn't funny though. IT was just pure meanness for the sake of being mean. That's bullshit. I can see pushing things even further than he did and if it's funny, it's transcended into a deeper truth, but it was just bad. Stewart just wants to make sure comics don't get censored I think..

@TheAbbotTrithemius

I agree. There was nothing there to defend.

Stewart’s argument is, “Hey, you can’t take a joke”—he is a prime example of why happens when you are part of the 0.05%, you lose all sense of common decency.

@TheAbbotTrithemius @feloneouscat hinchcliffe either does not notice that punching down is seldom funny, or nobody has actually sat him down and pummeled that fact into his head.
