Does it scare anyone else to realize your siding with the libertarians on something?
@Lucky188 I know the lines get messy but this is way itโs supposed to work.
@Lucky188 No. In fact it scares me that we hate each other so much in this country that we don't acknowledge the truths that reside in every party even if they are sometimes a needle in a haystack of stupid. Some melting pot!
@Lucky188 Small "l" libertarians, no. The Libertarian Party, probably. They've gone completely off the rails.
LOL
Coming to grips with #TheGeneticFallacy keeps us sane and reasonable...and sometimes agreeable with "Libertarians."
(See esp. Reason and Cato on immigration, the drug war, etc for exs.)
But as I was arguing with @Bix about yesterday, it's my contention that most "Libertarians" are still gonna vote MAGA. Cuz taxes and regulations.
@InUnfunky @Bix Or RFK, I don't think they can be counted on for Biden votes whatever they do.
@Bix @InUnfunky I think he will pickup Trump voters just not libertarian ones. Vets and Seniors, and Women have no place in Trumps camp.
I STILL DON'T GET the SO-ATTENUATED "Kennedy allure." Is it older certain prickly New Englanders who turn their noses up at Trump? PNWers of same stripe? And what's up with that Shanahan chick? WTF
As I said to Bixie yesterday...and in line with our topic NOW...this is where I agree with Trump! AIIEEE! But him saying "Be happy with your 3%" is accurate. Cuz "Libertarians" are jokes.
As a spoiler...hmmm.
Why are Trump donors like Mellon, de Becker etc giving RFKjr $$?
@InUnfunky @Bix One of Trump major money backers also gave same 24mil to RFK. I don't think he or Trump have allure so much as the funders also fund influencers and stupid sheaple follow blindly.
@Lucky188 A stopped clock is right twice a day, but I will say that when I discover I agree with someone I know to be stupid or evil, it really makes me go back and check my own thoughts, just to be safe.
@Lucky188
Libertarians have it half right half the time.
They aren't siding with us. They want someone even worse than Trump in office.
@Lucky188 I can't think of libertarians ass a monolith. Lawrence O'Donnell is a libertarian, and like him many can take their interpretation of government to mean that providing liberty is done much the same way liberals would have it done, by using the tools of the government responsibly and equitably. Then there are those that believe in razing the government because liberty can only exist in it's absence. And then a whole spectrum in the middle.
@Lucky188
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
