@ChippySuave π π First time Mom at 38, almost 3 months in and I'm still in awe. I carried this little creature for nine months. Insane. π

For the first years of my sons life. I was a stay at home dad. My wife went back to work after 30 days. She was doing a residency at a local hospital. So every day, some times twice a day I would pack the kids into the car, and drive to the hospital to pick up breast milk. After a few days, the staff all knew me, and would meet me in the emergency drive through, and hand me the good stuff, so that I did not have to get the kids out of the car ! Man that was hard work !

Well I have fought forest fires, done some commercial fishing, and a few other very hard jobs.
But the hardest job I ever had was the sleepless, almost thankless task of day to day parenting small ones. Oh my family knew and appreciated it.
I defy any of these big strong alpha male types to sit with a sick two year old night after night with no sleep. They would fold after an hour! I take no credit for this, it was just what needed to get done.
@corlin ππΌππΌTRUTH!! ...nonetheless, you deserve the credit. I personally donβt believe that everyone possesses the innate desire and ability to nurture selflessly. π€

Well there was all the small incredible joys. The rewards were sometimes subtle but none the less amazing. Sure at first I felt totally at sea, "What the hell am I supposed to do now".. But after a while you get used to the unexpected, and just turn on the solve this problem now, mode.
