Went to drugstore today. Cashier knew him. Talked to neighbor's son today, he did too. Another neighbor's fam knew him. There's nowhere I've been in the last couple of days that someone didn't know him in some way. He always had a smile on his face or kidded around with all he met.

Holding it in so far; got stuff going on w/Hubs' recovery(Dr tmrw!) & w/keeping his mind right; gotta keep strong for him too. I know gotta take care of me too, & am, for most part. But, all I see is his smile, gone😢

@Coffee_and_Salt Yeah, but we'll be alright. We tend to have our bad/sad things somewhat regularly & pull ourselves up because of it. Easy to get lost in grief, but no matter what, we try our best to be🤔... resilient. Lots of tragedies, but also lots of 'come-ups' when the grieving is less. Life is what it is and not one day is promised, so we'll lift ourselves back up & carry ourselves through this until the the next big thing happens.
Side note: entire fam's loco & say/do🤪stuff daily too🤣

@Gramdma2011 that’s exactly what I mean. Your resilience is why you deserve better.

And a 🤪 family is a real family. Love that!!

Also hope your hubs appointment goes well today! Saw the post about his dancing 🤣

@Gramdma2011
Sending you hugs, and keeping you in my thoughts.

@Gramdma2011 💔 I'm so sad that you are going through this.💔

@Tattoomonkey29 Thanks❤️Life's a lil hard now. but a good thing is that stuff like this makes our fam's bond stronger. We stay in touch, but sporadically, so we get to reconnect & update our lives & think about how much we mean to & need each other. Out of all bad that happens something good happens too. Out of this, my fam will DO something positive.

After my Aunt's murder, we rose up, & started accomplishing stuff. Too much talent to list, but lots in fam. Imma be on list too; been wrkng on💡💸😶

@Gramdma2011 ❤️ 🌺 Good to hear you are using negative events as fuel to fire creativity and positve things , actually you just inspired me to rise back up and fight some more as some recent things have me wanting to shut down. Thanks for that!

@Tattoomonkey29 Even before all this, I'd started New Year w/a plan. I🤔 this is the big push I needed to move it forward. I'd have preferred another kind of push, but, as my kids say, it is what it is! Cheers to you for knowing you too must rise up & fight &!♥️ Natural instinct is to shut out the pain; embracing it, feeling it, & learning to use one's troubles instead of hiding away from the world is a big step toward overcoming. Baby steps lead to all kinds of possibilities. Let's do this!💪

@Gramdma2011 i agree absolutely let's!! I've discovered,and some friends like to remind me of my words, the deeper the sadness and grief I may be experiencing the higher my ability to feel the joy and love is because it's a pendulum and if it only goes a little bit each direction or stays in one place I'm not experiencing life!
