Liberal activist Cornel West's efforts to get his name on the ballot in Wisconsin as an independent presidential candidate received a boost from Republican operatives who helped collect petition signatures for his candidacy.
@SaltyVeruca He's usually off the radar but trying desperately to get on it. For a useful idiot he's smart enough to pull it off if things swing his way. He'll never be more than an election side note but if Wisconsin comes down to 1-2% and he's holding 3% he'll be awful proud of his self.

West has always been a “meme candidate”—he exists merely to affect the system for his own ego.
It’s not that he stupid, he clearly is not, but he IS egotistical as he knows he has no chance of winning.
That was never his goal. No doubt when he was younger he was making a statement.
Now he is doing actual damage and he doesn’t care.
He isn’t a politician, he is a saboteur. If he cared ONE IOTA about others, he’d withdraw.
He won’t.
In many ways he is no different than Trump.
