@tippitiwichet don’t really know that people fully understand how much work goes into certain types of art and craft. I don’t know that most are intending to be insulting, but just really have no idea. It’s cool that you showed her, she will most likely keep that in mind for future purchases, which is good for both her and the artist.
Know there are also lots of people who are just trying to get a great item for pocket change. They neg the item, diminish the effort. Those can jog the eff on.
@Coffee_and_Salt Totally. I remember one time someone offered to pay me $20 if I knit their grandkid a blankie. I was close to finishing a dishcloth, so I told her that took me 3 hours to knit (fibro). Then I marked off a space on the floor about blankie size and started measuring how many discloths would fit in it, turning it over and each time adding three more hours. It was fun to watch the expressions on her face.
