I still miss velcro sneakers. I also miss the days when having velcro sneakers was considered cool.
@GaryPoole They were cool? Where was that? The nursing home or a parallel universe?
I collect Converse High Tops. Wearing them was no problem when I was younger, but these days when I bend over to lace them up, velcro would def be cool. 🤣
@BrazenlyLiberal @GaryPoole All Stars felt like slippers in my teens, but in old age it's clear they never were. Velcro makes sense for ease of wear, but I don't think it was ever "cool" except maybe to healthcare workers charged with assisting patients.
They still feel great once they're on. And All Stars are absolutely cool in all circumstances no matter how they close. I'm taking a stand on this one and I'm taking it in these:
