No one has been answering this question, maybe CoSo has the answer:
f I already knew an insurrection was highly likely just by reading Twitter...how did the white house and law enforcement etc "not know" it was brewing???
Pretty sure we all know the answer.
@Blackwolf they're attempting "plausible" denials.
@Blackwolf Really cannot go into detail in this format. But the Acting secretary of Defense, and the acting head of the FBI knew and did nothing. They were afraid a "Show of force" like during BLM protests would have antagonized the crowd
if you really want details, I would recommend looking into Seth Abramson's work, he is good at pulling all the threads together. Never been wrong, even if he sensationalises stuff.

@Blackwolf infiltration at highest level imo
@pennyphilosophy LuRain, I think I heard something about that mentioned in the hearing yesterday. I'd have to go back and watch, to be sure.
I can'r see any possible way they didn't know, but like most governments, they grew complacent, arrogant, and didn't take the threat seriously until too late.
@Blackwolf
They did. And the acting sec defense?Christopher __? Wrote a detailed letter, standing down any and all the assistance to the capital police. Don't have citations right now. Easy enough to find.
@Blackwolf: They did know. OR some did. I mean in different agencies and departments, or they could tell something was up. It's come out lately that some law-enforcement and domestic intelligence folks sent up flare that things seemed to be brewing, and they were told from up top to shush or that it'd be handled by others (and it wasn't).
