@QueenOfEverything @Alfred I asked because the electrical demand needed to train a LLM is crazy high (enough to drive an ev 11 million miles). I have concerns about this. Now employing aa pre-trained model (like Alfred) is much less energy intensive, but I wonder if, given the embedded CO2 in training, they are, on the whole worthwhile?

@Alfred What can you tell me about your origins?

@Alfred Can you estimate the amount of electricity is needed for your process to run, expressed as a fraction of the total electricity needed to run Counter Social?

@DavidSalo Some no doubt do, but it won't be enough to elect Mango Mussolini... somewhere between 2 and 3 voters in 10 that voted for Nicki (in early states) said they will not support TFG in November. That's it. The election is over.

@kbsez He had negotiated cooperation agreements. When you do that, you have to come clean about everything. If you fail to do so, they can rip up the agreements, prosecute you for lying to federal or state investigators and USE EVERYTHING YOU TOLD THEM AGAINST YOU. Chesebro is totally screwed.

@th3j35t3r this is the premise of a very popular game kids today play called “Among Us”.

@peeppeepcircus @Bix I suspect that the RNC has portfolios on just about every candidate that they use to enforce unity when needed. Russia hacked the RNC in 2015 and had those files. The high profile July 4 2016 junket to Russia by senators was about Russia confronting the GOP with the kompromat.

@CrypticMirror I’ve been telling the family since 2016 that 1) you are living through history and 2) everything will be OK, America will hold and democracy will endure. It’s been both horrifying and thrilling.

@sazemisery there is a broad effort to paint Trump as an American Navalny. But there are obvious problems with this effort: 1) Trump is much more akin to Putin, 2) Trump actually did the crimes he is accused of (we all saw it happen). These idiots are trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. We all see them fail. Again.

@wolfwoman I like golden boots. Very topical and immediate.

@AskTheDevil how to fix the system:
1: eliminate the electoral college.
2: pass legislation to nullify the corrosive effects of Citizen’s United,
3: restore the fairness doctrine in media and pull the broadcast licenses of news companies that violate it.
4: reform the Supreme Court by ensuring ethical oversight.
5: operationalize all ambiguous words in the Constitution.

@Cosmichomicide his first term was all about building a deeper swamp. The grift was breathtaking.

@rootwoman123 Maybe it is time for colleges and universities to step up. What if... what if these institutions announced that applicants from states that ban books would be penalized (by qualification algorithms) for coming from a state that encourages the suppression of the free exchange of ideas?

This has been a great day for America. That's what I think, anyway.

@DevinY1 I have long held that they will NOT do this. 1) Trump wants to weaken the Judicial branch... It's like, step 1 in the tyranny handbook. 2) The long trend of losing since his freak election in 2016 has been noticed. Here is an out for the GOP from the TrumpTrain.

@DevinY1 They can't do that until he files an appeal. I guess he will file on Feb 12. Let's hope they deny cert on the 13th.

So Trump’s businesses might be dissolved? And some think that would make it easier for the courts to dissolve other violators in the future? I don’t see any problems with that! If you can’t run a business honestly, then you can’t run a business at all, IMO!
