@Bix We were having a conversation the other day and it was said something was shaped like a penis, and I protested with, "It's not called Arnold Palmer!" After the laughing, there was a moment of How Did We Get Here?
I've posted this before I think.
This is a 15 minute guided Progressive Muscle Relaxation session from the National Health Service.
It's a really very useful technique for reducing stress in your body. All those tight muscles from being constantly in fight-or-flight mode.
It's *so* relaxing you might fall asleep, so maybe not while you're driving, ok? 😜
@arthurpendragon As much as I'm feeling the "let me VOTE", my bigger concern really is that...how many people will this happen to? Because our house isn't going to change any election, but this isn't something we're being targeted for. It's more than just us.
@PoliticalEd That's a good point...it may count later. The county clerk said we could do it, but it wouldn't count. And she sounded very apologetic and frustrated with what's happening. I can only imagine how many of these calls she's had to answer.
So. Sent in my voter registration form over a month before the last day.The rest of the house didn't get it done until the last day, but the guy at the post office promised they would be marked that day and that's what's needed.
Today, the county clerk's office says none of us are registered, we did follow the rules correctly, but "the mail hasn't been reliable for this".
That does not sound good. I'm wondering how many people are effected by this.
@MMH I don't keep up with all the movies, so I just thought I wouldn't "get it". It seems they made it so you get more if you do keep up, but not completely lost otherwise.
@prairiecelt Was it Cut & Paste?

My new cards are here! This tarot deck was made by the same woman who made the Southern Gothic and Southern Botanical Oracle decks, and the design matches with those decks. I also supported the Kickstarter on the level to get the playing cards added.
I'm probably going to disappear for a few days and then excitedly talk about the cards when anyone finds me!
Inktober, day 31 - I made it all the way! One drawing or painting each day. Happy Halloween to the little dragons seeking treasure!

@tippitiwichet This is beautiful! And sometimes "productive" is just recharging so you can be productive a different day.
@amarand It looks like people sell them on Etsy for around $50-$100. I'd say they need to be packaged well for shipping, though. It's dry mud. The outer layer is the most fragile.
I found out through We Rate Dogs about Dogs Matter. It's a program to provide free foster care for dogs while their humans are in rehab so the human can focus on recovery and know they will be reunited with their dog.
They also do wellness checks for 12 months after reuniting in case more support is needed.
@amarand Very carefully. 😄 While it's still wet, but not too squishy, I used several things to round it. The opening of an old glass milk bottle, the opening of a small glass vase.
In the end, the right thing for the size was just an empty plastic pill bottle from the pharmacy. I gently rolled the ball on the opening of the bottle. It shaved off any extra dirt.
Inktober, day 30. "Ghost in the closet". I was halfway done when I thought, "Who has this much space in their closet?"

@HawkHorton We have high clay content in our soil, and that made things start cracking as it dried. I filled cracks with more dirt and they dried a lighter color. I love how it looks kind of like a turtle shell.
@QueenOfEverything Yeah, my sister-in-law looked at me like she was wondering if she should be concerned when I told her I was going to turn a ball of mud into an art piece. 😄 Until I can get some of those stands, I'm just going to cut an empty toilet paper roll into rings to use as stands.
