There will be clinics across the state line in free states. 🤷🏻♀️
@Cosmichomicide Good for women who can afford the trip, can get the days off work, and who have childcare. Abortion access has never been an issue for people rich enough to own a Supreme Court Justice. For poor women it's a problem.
It's a problem for an ER doctor who must decide whether to save a woman's life at risk of going to prison, or wait and see how the situation develops as he consults his lawyer, or advise her to run for the border.
@Cosmichomicide What breaks my heart are stories of couples who desperately want a baby, but there are complications, medical treatment is denied, she must carry and deliver a baby, watch it quickly die, and become sterile unable to try again.
Not common, thank God. Too common, curse #scotus

The long term fertility damage is heartbreaking, but I don't see this changing quickly.
Having been in NC when John Edwards channeled the fetus, our malpractice rates went through the roof, and OB/GYNS moved out of the state - people start noticing when there are no doctors taking patients. But it takes a while for them to figure out why.
