I'm not looking forward to tonight's .

But I will bear witness, because we live in the Misinformation Age, and *everyone* with an agenda is absolutely going to lie about it.

^^ Proper debates can be won. Political debates, not so much—especially now.

MAGA will declare that :Asshat: won, and everyone else will insist that he lost.

Consider though: The framing that it's won or lost is another of those deliberate things that reduces the importance of the event. It's converted into a mere contest, instead of what it's *supposed* to be: an opportunity for we (the people) to learn more about what these men intend to do with the nation's highest office.

I respect your decision, but I feel very differently. I really don't see the point of watching. What do you, an intelligent and informed person, think you could possibly learn about these two that you don't know already? It's all theater.

I'm making a point of *not* watching, because every person that tunes in is helping 'news' outlets and advertisers make money of a political outrage spectacle. I refuse to give them my views and clicks.

@voltronic I expect to gain an objective understanding what happened as the lens through which I view the mountains of misinformation that will follow.

@kel
You're a better man than I, then. I don't think I would have the patience for it.
