@voltronic yeah, some were pretty obvious.
Some also had a time component to them I think. I interpreted each one as if it was an assertion about events/attitudes from right now this minute. Not sure if that's what was intended.
@voltronic I agree got a similar score, assumed that’s part of the test. Would have liked to know which I got wrong.
@voltronic I did the MIST-20 and got a 19/20. One of the headlines was real and I thought it was fake, but I got all the fake ones!
@voltronic there are some who are susceptible to fake news because they do not bother with checking sources. But want easily digestible facts, and lack critical thinking skills
@voltronic - got a 100,100,0
@voltronic exact same result though Not sure I should have scored that high.
@voltronic , 19/20, "a bit skeptical."
@voltronic
I got 19/20, then got 16/16 because I knew which one I had been unsure of and gave the other answer the second time. (Mainly about whether there is such a person and the one the headline was reporting about. My knowledge of foreign countries' governmental structures is poor.)
@EileenKCarpenter @voltronic Did the NIST-16 and got 16/16.
@voltronic I aced both versions. Rule of thumb: if it's unremarkable, it's probably true. The world may be queerer than we can suppose, but judging by appearances it's mostly quotidian.
On the other hand: next to me a patch of clover is being foraged by about a dozen bees, fat yellow-backed Bombus and slender copper-striped Apis. The clover turns sunlight, air, and water into nectar and pollen, which the bees collect and distribute. This is both commonplace and a miracle beyond belief.
