The last time we had a high profile mass shooting and I politely asked someone to take down their post with the shooter's name or photo, I was blocked. So from now on, I will be reporting any post I see with this, even if I consider you a friend.
Please, just don't.
@voltronic One thing I’ll ask you to consider is the time/date stamp. He was still at large. Going forward, we can refrain as he’s now been caught. @th3j35t3r acknowledged this as well. If he chooses to scrub the posts, then that’s his decision.
@Avalea
Fair enough, and I addressed this in my reply to @th3j35t3r.
@voltronic @th3j35t3r Good deal. Believe me, I get it and fully agree.
@voltronic Truth is, reporting is unlikely to make much difference, friend because "posting things I don't want to see" isn't against ToS. You'd be better off just unfollowing, muting or blocking that person. Also, see my recent #PSA as I was having a hard time with this as well today.
@stueytheround
Well, you cut right to the point. If it was content that simply offended me, I would mute or block. That's not the case here; it's not personally triggering to me.
This is content I think is harmful to OTHERS, especially trauma survivors. Plus the copycat issue as previously mentioned.
@voltronic
I still haven't seen one person banned from here for doing it in four years of mass shooting events.
Do what you feel is right.
@stueytheround
I don't want anyone banned; I just want the posts to come down.
I will do what I feel is right. Thank you.
@voltronic It isn't just you thinking this is harmful; you are objectively correct. S*** is not open to debate. "Don't post the names or images of mass shooters" is the consistent position of domestic extremism experts. It's irresponsible to ignore them.
Beyond frustrating to see this time and time again!
@Expecting_Words
Apparently some here think otherwise.
@stueytheround - I am not referring to you.
@voltronic
Plus his music video is a crime against music.
