I feel this needs to be shared far and wide, because the system that uses these devices disproportionately preys upon the poor.
@voltronic the pen trick in the first link also works on the locks on vending machines. A bic with thicker walls and heat it just a little to soften with a lighter.
And you're right, targets those with little money as those with money just pay the tickets.

Right, but if you can afford a reciprocating saw, you can probably afford to pay your parking tickets and therefore wouldn't have a boot on your car in the first place.
