This might sound strange.
But that piece, in its simplicity, its elegance and beauty,
Reminded me of this.....
e^ix = cos x + i sin x
Which is Euler's formula. The most simple and powerful equation in all of mathematics.

I will admit that I never got to that level in math, and this is way over my head.
I will take your word for it about the connection.
Admittedly, it's a special case.
^ The entire album was recorded with just one pair of mics, the Line Audio CM3 (which I own and use heavily) directly into a Sound Devices 702 recorder.
