Until recently, I was and have always been a registered independent. I always voted for the person that would best represent my country and community. I never supported party line voting.

But things change and in this case it was the Republican party. They have moved so far right and dug in and locked arms as a party, that I will not support an R even if I liked one.

Maybe sometime in the future, but not today.

I will admit, I don't have a good feeling about midterms 😬 In Washington the turn out was at 31% Friday and that makes me nervous and I've never been nervous about our Senate elections. Also, we lost almost 100k registered voters in Washington State. I'm no expert and I can't find how many "new" registered voters we had. Just hope people get out and vote these last few days. Our Country depends on it!

Tuesday is the day in the USA, and hope everyone has plans in place to get your civic duty done. I have already turned in my ballot, as Washington state makes it extremely easy for me to continue voting from 🇩🇪.

I hope everybody will remember that many rights we take for granted are on the line as you cast your votes.

Other than my walk to complete my duty to vote on Tuesday, I plan on wearing headphones and listening to great music from more positive times in my life. I also plan on popping open a bottle of wine and staying away from the tv. Going to reread a well loved book from my vast collection.

Really hoping for good things for my US friends this Tuesday.
