Like Cher mentioned, the colors were better through the camera. I brightened this up a bit.
^^ also this chart helps explain the colors. When gasses in our atmosphere heat up the glow a specific color. (This is how the know what gasses are in celestial objects)

The red was completely coving the US last night. This is now. I'll be watch to see if this builds up.
Observations - we were in Kp8 (using the measurement at top of page. The particles take about 35 minutes from that measurement to earth. << this is pretty accurate.
So look tonight to see if it grows over us again.

I love seeing ppl in happy tears never ever believing they'd ever see this.

After MANY disappointing CLOUDY nights where I could possibly see the aurora.
Tonight there is again a highly possible aurora. It's going to be partly cloudy but I'm hoping to see something.

Why do big monstrous tornados hit little towns!
I know it's tornados season but I've never seen such massive tornados, every week.
As a weather nerd. The videos and photos have incredible especially the time lapsed supercell development... but the damage has been terrible.
