This was created for kids/teens to start using mindfulness tools in their daily life. We need to be teaching our children these tools.
But this also works to helps adults to start. You may just go through the motions but it eventually starts helping and you will want continue.

I have a story to tell at some point about my son's recovery from alc/substance use disorder.
But today I'm just gonna tell you what has worked (so far &should continue)
Mindfulness sessions with examine triggers, missteps etc and we adjust course.
AND most astoundedly Mushrooms, yes the magic ones. We started working with them in March. (Every once and a while)
No revelations until 3 weeks ago or so. He has what the call a reboot I guess but he also found spirituality like I did (w/o π)

Today is 1st day since my surgery where I feel better mentally, able to do my yoga meditations/mindfulness exercises w/enthusiasm instead of robotically. π
β οΈ I've developed a seroma which is common after surgeries (definition in pic)
Spoke to surgeon, sometimes these resolve without needle draining π¬
He said to text him (on the portal) in 2 weeks to see if we need to drain.
I may be able to reduce this w/Lasix (mom has tons)
So I'll be peeing a lot this weekend lol π¦π¦π¦π¦ππ

Wow, what a night!
1. Suddenly weather said we were getting inches of rain ln (my backyard is NOT flooded so we did not get inches)
2. Then I accidentally flush a toilet that needed a plunge π³ and it overflowed. So sfter cleaning that mess I finally got to sleep
3. Only to get woken at midnight by a tornado warning!!
4. We watched for a bit and realized this was going to be about 5-6 miles north of us so we went back to bed lol (this was radar indicated, not on ground) π
Surviving this chaos through mindfulness & meditation. Retired engineer. Working certs in mindfulness meditation, MBSR, and energy healing. Because happiness.
