Nice shift in The Force, in turkey.
@peeppeepcircus the secular/non religious party won big against erdogons religious party. The people voted out his party and apparently these new mayor's are powerful and oddly enough (in a good way) he conceded, said he recognized and will honor the will of the people. And to his own party he said something like they need to work on their issies and disconnects (w/ the ppl)
I take this as a promising sign. Out with the dictators. And people are discovering their power to change things.
That's a huge sea change. Will affect the whole region.
(Also, I might actually visit Turkey now. Would never have risked it under Erdrogan)
@ucantstop_me What's happened?
(And how are you & the fam? 💜 )
@ucantstop_me Ahhh, found it 👍
@BillyBones yeah, that is a positive move away from dictators - its a good sign.
@BillyBones we are much better. On a good path.
I got laid off at 61 so I decided to start my retirement business now.
I'm super flexible about change now (I never used to be, I'd freak if important plans changed)
My husband is still uncomfortable.. he manages the retirement account and is slowly understanding that we will be using that for a little while.
How are things worh you and yours?
@ucantstop_me what happened?
