So.
States can't determine what kind of gun control they enact.
Government tax dollars can fund religious institutions.
Abortion is not a right.
And we're on the verge of: If you protest in a way the government disapproves of, you can be denied rights.
Oh, and someone pointed this one out to me from earlier this month:
"The majority opinion narrowed (but didn't eliminate) the ability to sue a federal official for damages for a constitutional violation.
...considerations of national security and foreign affairs that are endemic to immigration enforcement and immigration issues are always going to make it improper for a damages action to go forward."
So, you won't be able to sue border patrol agents.
@tyghebright taking away contraception puts us. in the dark ages The GOP are controlling whores
One of the biggest social changes *ever* happened when women started to have more control over whether they got pregnant.
@tyghebright I have never understood the whole thing about "getting permits for a protest".
The idea of arranging a protest with the government so that it's just some people chanting to no effect is so forkin' weird.
Nobody overthrew a dictator or marched for civil rights with a permit.
But there's people who will let other people lose their rights because they "didn't get a permit". So weird.
They're the people who would have turned in Anne Frank for hiding.
And what else is on the table?
“In striking down Roe v. Wade today, Clarence Thomas writes, in a concurring opinion, that the Supreme Court should reconsider Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell — the rulings that now protect contraception, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage.”
