Was looking at trilobite species to find one to sketch in pillbug colors and I ran across a video of Sir Attenborough describing how their eyes give clues to their environment, leading me to find a whole free documentary about early life on our planet. So I get to sketch them while watching this. I call this kind f thing a party.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good scanner? Don't need a printer attached, probably prefer none so the tech is dedicated to scanning and costs stay relatively low.

I managed to figure out several similar but distinct textures, not that either my scanner or my phone wants me to really show them to you. I need a new scanner. Anyway, that's the prettiest S I've ever drawn, if I do say so myself.

I have always wanted to sketch my stones, but have been way too intimidated by the number of textures they have. I've been at this a couple of days, but I'm starting to feel like I'm figuring a few things out. The trilobite is going to feel like cheating after trying to portray white crystals. Thankfully I have many stones to study, and no deadline to get it right.
