I really don't think I'm ever going to get over going from phones connected to the wall that my uncle could pick up in the other room to eavesdrop, to phones that were mobile! No chord! You can move away from the wall and now I can evesdrop on him with my boom box, to now I can have my pizza delivered to the spot I am standing in, plus it plays games and can answer any question I have within minutes. This is too much. I will never recover.

My pink oyster mushrooms. These are the same jar, but a few days apart, the pink fades as it ages. Also the same one that was releasing spores in my video. A single jar has so many changing landscapes to explore. Landscapes that kind of feel like they were designed by Georgia O'Keeffe.

I love my dawning golden years, the westward facing mindset of the setting sun. In some pagan traditions, this is the sun setting over the horizon of the ocean, the light of our life faces inward as we search our waters, our emotions, our life through the lens of meaning. I love listening to the music of my youth, as I think of what I thought I knew, of what I've learned, of lessons to pass to my children. I love watching spiderwebs comb through my hair as I gather the greys that count years.
