Just remembered a rose flavored syrup I bought once to put in club soda. Realized Amazon probably has some. Then I remembered that I already planned to get water kefir soon, that I was going to flavor with my herbs and let get fizzy in my old homebrewing bottles. Oh, wait! I also have hazelnut and coffee flavors in my pantry! This is going to be fun.

I bet I found the species of purple pitcher plant that runs strongest in Celia's veins. Sarracenia rosea, Burk's pitcher plant. The only one with pink flowers, hardy (she's survived many gardening setbacks, even disastrous ones), and there are veinless and semi-veinless varieties. She's ticking off even more of these traits, she might not even be a hybrid!
The only one with pink petals, and look at my avatar. How appropriate this one is my favorite.
Mmm, I put fresh mint in my cocoa. Don't know why I haven't tried this before.
Celia has started dropping pollen from her anthers, so I pollinated her and took some celebratory shots with the good camera :).

I raised my voice in anger today.
It was a little shocking and scary,

She keeps her anger locked away while she struggles for composure.
Strangles as the words are captured at the back of her throat.
A smooth brow.
An unlined veneer.
The serene visage never giving her away.
Looking years younger due to decades of masking her impulses
to yell
to scream
to rail at the injustice of it all.
That to live the perfect life..
She must remain a fake.
