Celia is starting to show the beautiful tones I remember, but I only saw immature pitchers. I didn't get to see the wavy ruffled midrib sporting a darker line. The tallest pitcher is still shiny with the potential for growth. Her hoods tend to darken more on the outside in maturity, and be lighter on the inside, with only a hint of veins. I've been staring at her so much, just admiring the subtle gradient. My little private sunset in the spring.

I want a twin to write a scifi book about cloning. I want to read that.

So my neighbor that I've been avoiding since "the incident" finally came over with treats for the youngest. and I had to explain exactly why I'm in the house alone, given it was inevitable that they will see changes. She brought candy for a child who no longer lives here.
This means I talked to a neighbor about everything, one I didn't know very well, so she would understand the changes she was about to see.
She accepted it. She asked me what foods I like so I could come to dinner soon.

I've been mentioning my trauma lately, I want to take a moment to be grateful. When I was a child and my mother was being the woman I no longer talk to, there were a few adults who left marks of kindness and healing on my soul. You have no idea how much that kind gesture you made to the sad child meant. You may have kept them alive and out of prison. Acts of compassion can save lives.

My writing goals are changing. I’m now flirting with darkness, rather than rushing to the darkest parts. I am studying mindfulness, and healing from my traumas. I will weave this into my fiction, the way I once used research from books written by FBI profilers. This old favorite seemed perfect to revise with some fresh elemental exploration, and a new perspective woven in.
