@Tattoomonkey29 Well, thanks but now after all the dread of rumors of a bad storm on the way that seems to have already passed, now I'm actually disappointed. I was about to turn out the lights and listen to wolves howling. We're in Tulsa, OK. Storm's still around, but it prob won't be that bad.

Storm's here. Time to rise above the anxiety of living in a trailer home in Tornado alley, and turn it into excitement and thrills.

Lol, brother in law just texted Joe that he's on his way to get Not The New Dog. Joe said no. She's going somewhere far better now. 😊

@Oma_Trisha @AskTheDevil I hear you. Joe's like that, and mustard or anything with vinegar in it, even ketchup, can set him off. Some things I eat away from him and then brush my teeth, and try not to cook when he's home.

@YouInMyEye I could actually give up my smartphone for a month, but only if it's strictly defined, as my tablet likes to think of itself as a big phone, despite the lack of service. I will not give up my coffee for a month. The entire household would fall apart.

@Oma_Trisha @AskTheDevil Many people agree. I still remember the looks adults would give me, it was funny. And love to chew on the clams in chowder, lol.

@AskTheDevil @Oma_Trisha Suddenly thinking about how I grew up in Houston, and fell in love with raw oysters at age 3, so whenever they were on the menu (frequently, given the coast nearby) they'd let this toddler gobble down a couple of dozen to the amazement of onlookers who weren't brave enough to touch them. Hmm. Mercury...

@AskTheDevil She is! She's perfect for it! I'm so happy this is the role she might be able to fill :). She slides right into my daughter to be tucked in at bedtime, this dog is perfect for the job.

@stueytheround @AskTheDevil Stuey. If someone got on your bad side for five minutes and they didn't realize that was a temporary thing and you are a compassionate guy who would likely work with someone to smooth things over and come to an understanding, it's on them.

Not saying your thought process isn't the appropriate reaction, but I am saying that you're the kind of person who will predictably react this way to upsetting someone, very predictably.

@BreakingNews But also put a system in place to allow them to seek asylum without crossing illegally, right?

So there won't just be a giant, unmanageable pile of vulnerable people at the border, subject to exploitation, abuse, and harm. And there will be enough personell at the legit stations to handle the job, right? And we'll cooperate with the other country to make sure it's reasonable, safe, and not harmful to them either, right?

Right?

@redenigma I was 13 when Mom started taking me around to evangelical churches (she was dating a minister - these may have been paid dates because there were rumors at the time she was a high dollar escort). I will never forget that for a time of my life I really and truly believed that my gender made me the root of sin, and to be in service to man made me a good and pious girl, and that if that made me suffer, not to worry. That suffering was good, it was my due. They have that feeling.
