Once in my old writers group, a guy arrived with a poem that was worded differently but followed concept for concept "The Raven." He said, no it wasn't some kind of writing practice. He swore he'd never heard of The Raven. We were dubious. #writing

@poemblaze He must have read it in school but didn't like the confusing language, so he "forgot". Then years later, his brain tried really hard to reintroduce him to the magnificence that is Poe, but he didn't understand again.
