Sweet, I'm temporarily back, until my phone data runs out.

Has anyone had to present a text message convo in court? Do I just bring the phone, or is there a way to print them so I can highlight things? I am not savy with phone tech. Okay, any tech.

@tippitiwichet Depending on your platform, you may be able to login to some kind of cloud service to print it from PC.

You could also just make a screenshot.

If it's an SMS text, you may also want to see about getting the Metadata from your carrier if at all possible... if that'd be beneficial to you.

Can't print from my PC at home because it's HP and won't hook to my wifi. I'm hoping there's a way to export a file? I might be able to walk to the carrier. Maybe.

@tippitiwichet

You probably want to get a lawyer to weigh in on this to see what the court requires.

@BenA Not really possible. I go to a hearing Tue, I guess if it's not enough they'll let me know how to prepare it. Jerk might have the house wifi back on by then.

@tippitiwichet

Preserve the SMS conversation on the phone. A screenshot by itself doesn't prove anything.

@mcfate oh yeah, I'll bring the phone. Just hoping to make it easier to let the judge skim through, I know they like you to make it easier.

@tippitiwichet

Well, it can't hurt to also print it out and bring that along. Just the printout wouldn't be evidence, anyone could make that in Photoshop.

@tippitiwichet
I am not a lawyer, so I would see if you can ask the courts how to present it. You may be able to just hand the phone to the bailiff to show the judge, or it may require other methods. Each court and judge will handle things differently. Do not wait to ask the preferred method.
