Can CoSo help me find a job? You guys have worked miracles before
LinkedIn premium worked for me. It's a bit steep per month, But you can get a free trail period. but it lets you send out cover letters and resumes very quickly once you upload them (I had a few different versions of each for slightly different job descriptions). Also it lets you set up automated job searches that get emailed to you soon as they go up.
Indeed was good as well. What are you looking for?
@TheAbbotTrithemius indeed has been nothing but trouble for me I’m afraid 😳
At this point, honestly I’m willing to do anything. My skillset is primarily in technology and I have a bit of medical/ mental health training.
I understand, but remember make your resume(s) as targetted as possible for the job you're applying for, by leveraging all of the experience and skills that you have for that position. Good luck! Also, never ever give up, everything is a learning opportunity and you will find something.
@TheAbbotTrithemius thank you 🙏
@tiaugn i'm going to second linked in but i wouldn't bother w. the premium. just set up an alert w/ the types of jobs in the city you want (or remote work if that's what you're looking for) and apply quickly w. a great cover letter & customized resume for the positions that most interest you.
don't apply for things you're not at least 70% qualified for. don't apply for jobs that absolutely require certifications you don't have.
do your research & be patient.
good luck!
@singlemaltgirl good advice, thank you. I’ve been rather skeptical of LinkedIn premium tbh; this is probably the first time I’ve heard anything good about it.
@tiaugn you never know, they gave my whole life purpose and slowly pulled me out of the depths of hell.
