From director Julius Onah comes the next Captain America evolution – Anthony Mackie stars as Sam Wilson, who has taken over as the new Cap from Steve Rogers after he retired at the end of the Avengers movies. Brave New World picks up with Harrison Ford as the US president, with the power dynamics in the world changing (a real meta reference).
Glad to see the Red Hulk 👍🏾
A lot of the film is off script and ad libbed similar to a straight theater piece and many of the characters didn't meet until they met in the film. Much of the interactions between the characters are real and raw. I spent at least 6 pages on the production and cinematography alone and really emphasized why Tony was an exceptional choice for the role and how he handled it.
My film teacher gave me a B for the convincing arguments and the amount of knowledge I had about both films.
In my film class I wrote a 15 page analysis of the Night Of The Living Dead 1990 remake that Tony Todd was in. My film teacher has a FIRM rule that nothing modern (after 1960) could ever be discussed in his class, especially not remakes.
But on top of knowing everything there was to know about both versions, I knew someone who worked on it and someone who knew Tony personally. I had enough background to speak analytically about why the remake was perfect and improved on the story.

Well that took 4 hours ... and my whole body is really angry but everybody is rehomed safely and @IronButterfly saved like a gazillion baby snails and put them in the 100 gallon ❤️ She's a snail superhero.

I can _feel_ angry, but I _choose_ strategies based on the emotions I want to carry out.
It's hard. But it's part of being a complete, sentient adult.
Emotions are tools.
They are not an excuse.
Our minds are tools, too, and we can make intelligent decisions where we _choose_ what strategy to operate under.
Time for aquarium duty. Setting up a new, larger tank for the kitchen. @IronButterfly will be rehoming a lot of snails. I love keeping them but I do still think they are gross. She doesn't mind though.
Peace comes from doing what is necessary and doing it well. Mindfulness is a component of this as well.
Do less.
The things that are most important for a good life and a balanced life really aren't as much as you may think.
The most powerful and most meaningful statements also don't require a lot of words and a lot of energy to speak them.
Say less.

Marcus Aurelius always puts things well and succinctly. He doesn't tend to be as long winded as some of the other stoics.
But something I learned early on from his writing, in middle school actually, was from the quote I just shared.
𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳.
Do less. It mirrors what the kids say these days and for kind of similar reasons: Say less.
Angry, dysregulated people expend a lot of energy in the wrong ways.

Negativity is a CHOICE.
The way we think and feel can actually shape our reality. You can choose madness and anger or become self-empowered through greater awareness and knowledge of changing your beliefs and feelings.
It's a CHOICE that YOU CAN MAKE.
Negative minds full of fear and doubt only produce negative lives which can ultimately destroy your life and others. That should be obvious by now if you look at the world.
Choose wisely. Surround yourself with only that which uplifts you.
You can't change the world, but you can change yourself and how you respond and move through it.
You can't change people, but you can change yourself and how you respond to them or allow them to affect you. Stop wasting time on things and people that diminish you. Make yourself a priority.
Learn forgiveness.
Learn mindfulness.
Learn patience.
Learn to stop complaining and to start doing.
Realize that you spend more time in a prison of your own making than anywhere else.
Whenever you choose to believe in, whatever helps you get through each day and find desire to get up each day and continue on is YOUR BUSINESS and NO ONE ELSES.
Your job isn't to convince other people of anything ... you CAN'T. They have their own realities as well and their own beliefs and crutches and that is THEIR BUSINESS. At this point in time ... you need to be strong for YOU and your loved ones.
Find those who believe as you do and want goodness and light and built up from there. ❤️
If you do not like realism
If you do not like people who focus on the balance of mind, body, and spirit
If you do not like emotionally regulated and mentally healthy people
If you prefer anger, madness, and reasonless living
If you think being angry makes you strong and you wear your rage like a cape
If you are an energy vampire
If you want to make everyone miserable because you are
If you live in fear and want everyone else to also
... stay out of my feed.
