BIG’s HQ is designed to be pretty energy-efficient, given its size and type. The roof is marked with solar panels to cut down on grid-based power use. A combination of a geothermal energy system and natural ventilation delivers 84% of heating requirements, and 100% of its cooling.

The building is made from Uni-Green concrete, which was developed in collaboration with Unicon. A section of the cement clinker was replaced with calcined clay and lime filler, leading to a carbon dioxide reduction of around 25% in comparison to a traditional concrete mix.

The interior adopts a lot of concrete, and some wood too and is designed to be free-flowing, with an ample amount of floor space.

The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is known for creating extraordinary and unique buildings, they recently designed their own headquarters, and we’re really quite curious to know more about it. The HQ is called Piranesian and is in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Considering how elaborate and wild some of BIG's architectural creations are, I was surprised to see something so modest - for lack of a better word - for their official headquarters. It is NICE though and has BIG "feel" to it.

The new theme design is the latest in Saitama Prefecture-based toymaker Ensky’s Paper Theater series of compact papercraft kits.

By layering cutouts on top of each other within the frame, a sense of depth is created to incredible effect.

The new kit is priced at 2,970 yen (US$19.80) and stands 6.3 inches tall when assembled.

Many more Ghibli themed kits are available as well. The whole lineup can be ordered through the Donguri Kyowakoku online store.

On November 9 Rosé and Bruno Mars’ music video for their hit collab single surpassed 300 million views on YouTube in just 22 days, 6 hours, and 30 minutes.

Not only is “APT.” now the fastest music video of 2024—by any artist of any genre—to hit 300 million views on YouTube, but it is also the sixth-fastest of all time breaking the previous record of approximately 25 days held by PSY’s 2013 hit “Gentleman,” which remained unbeaten for 11 years.

I've been tracking my health, including sleep, since way before I had the tools to do it. I have a lot of manual data on paper and later Google docs so everything I collect these days is mostly stuff I am already aware of but the data points I get now from all the various instruments I use help to line things up in more definitive ways. Sleep data with EEG data for example solidifies what I already know and gives me something to actually SEE as far as what's going on. Tech is great that way. 👍🏾

93/88 is great going into the weekend. Optimal sleep with 23% restorative sleep is absolutely excellent. Gonna be an epic day. 👍🏾

I have been paying closer attention to my chronotype schedule and I do find that when it lines up, there is a significant difference in my . I have been correlating data manually on this for about 2 months. I don't make anything definitive until I have 6 months of data but it's looking like a real correlation.

Make some time.

S2E4 is a very classic mystery episode which is a nice change and Maahra Hill is looking stunning which is also a nice change from all the boring FBI suits and black jackets she's always in.

Costume design doesn't get a chance to do much with her character so this "wedding assassination" plot is a great excuse to show off her epicness.

Christopher Nolan has cast and to star in his next big event film set up at Universal. They will join the previously announced Matt Damon and Tom Holland.

It was initially reported that the movie would be a vampire film set in the 1920s, but this recent report says that all of the “loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are wrong.”

I really don't care WHAT the film is going to be about ... you said Anne and Zendaya.

So stop with the "omg" and the "shocked" and the "I can't believe" nonsense.

Though ... I suppose the "I can't believe" is pretty accurate. People not believing the lived experiences of the is part of the reason we're here now.

The time for that is gone I think.

Reframe.
Rethink.
Wake up.

I bid you welcome to the real world.
