Read Marcus Aurelius.
Make some time.

@thewebrecluse I've seen you now mention Marcus Aurelius many times and I've really got to read him. That second quote reminds me of a Henry Rollins quote. I don't know much about him, either, but his quotes always seem to make an impression on me.

"If you really want to rebel against your parents, out-learn them, outlive them, and know more than they do." -- Henry Rollins

@erikbrown Many people restructure or modernize stoic quotations and give variations of them but it's important to know the origins of these sentiments. ❤️

I strongly urge everyone who needs help with healing, emotional regulation, and reality based thinking to invest in some stoic literature. They have been right since 300 BCE and the Buddhists since around 500 BCE. Wisdom is important, more so than ever. I hope you'll read up on both. ❤️
