It's weird how often people need this kind of reminder. It's insane how entitled people feel these days. It's almost like the harder living life becomes, the more entitled people feel ... as if merely surviving every single day without giving up automatically entitles people to be centered.
I hate to break it to you but there are a lot of people out in the world surviving ... it's not a competition and it doesn't mean you're special or that you're more deserving of things for choosing life.
Instead of spending your energy on trashing things that don't appeal to you or that weren't made with you in mind, perhaps a better use of your time would be finding things that DO appeal to you and DO tick your specific boxes.
Instead of spending your energy on being a troll and unleashing your negativity into the world because you're angry at not being considered the center of the universe, perhaps a better use of your time would be seeking therapy or some way of regulating your emotions.
Not everything is for you.
Not everything centers you.
Not everything is about you.
This includes media such as books, television shows, movies, video games; people have different interests and different things that appeal to them ...
This also includes objects such as devices, accessibility items, and different tools that aid people who need them.
Some things are not necessarily designed with you in mind and they don't need to be.
You're not the center of the universe.

#AgathaAllAlong was some of the best TV I've seen in a long while. Better than it had any business being. Incredible writing.
This is my cousin, Chief of the Manchester Police Department, Chief James Berry, who recently passed away.
In 2004, he was sworn in and was the first Black police chief in Manchester, Connecticut.

I don't read books but I do have a Kindle from a while back. I purchased the new #KindleColor because what I do read are #comics and now I can take them with me anywhere.
The new KindleColor is amazing for reading comics and the colors are vibrant. It also supports the #guidedview so I can read frame by frame which is best for me.
Absolutely epic
Filmmaker Drew Binsky, who creates wonderful short documentaries, visited Yanjin, China, which is widely known to be the narrowest city in the world.
Situated between two mountains along the Yangtze River, Yanjin is a rural city that is home to over 100,000 residents who live in high-rise buildings that make efficient use of available space.
Binsky toured the city with fellow traveler Yan of Little Chinese Everywhere.

CareYaYa now has over 25,000 students on its platform from numerous schools, including Duke University, Stanford, UC Berkeley, San Jose State, University of Texas at Austin.
During this time, Shah was a partner at a hedge fund and had to wind down his fund to become a full-time caregiver for two years.
To get additional care for his wife, Shah hired college students who were studying healthcare to be caregivers for his wife. Shah learned that other families were doing the same thing informally by posting flyers at local campuses to find someone who was qualified to look after their loved one.

CareYaya, a platform that matches people who need caregivers with healthcare students, is working to disrupt the caregiving industry. The startup is looking to enhance affordable in-home support, while also helping students prepare for their future healthcare careers.
The startup was founded in 2022 by Neal Shah, who came up with the idea for the startup based on his own experience as a caregiver for his wife after she became ill with cancer and various other ailments.

Japan also figures prominently in this literary landscape, and a fondness for #cats in the iyashikei genre has proven commercially viable abroad.
While it’s true feline-centered iyashikei literature may lean toward the frivolous at times, the late poet Mayumi Inaba amply demonstrates its quiet potentiality in her memoir “Mornings With My Cat Mii,” skillfully translated by Ginny Tapley Takemori.
Healing fiction is prevalent in the latest wave of Korean literature in translation, with escapist narratives centered on magical bookstores, laundromats and other mundane spaces.
Younger generations of readers have been so voracious that in this calendar year alone, Penguin Random House UK is releasing six English translations of Korean titles: soothing tomes of fiction and nonfiction that tackle social issues and delicate topics including mental health.

Japan’s #iyashikei (healing type) cultural commodities exist across a variety of media. They typically manifest as anime, manga or other narrative forms that offer a cozy atmosphere and feature mundane dramas unfolding at a leisurely pace.
In recent years, publishers have perked up to the potential of “healing fiction,” driven by a healthy appetite for East Asian literature.
Translated fiction has been gaining more readers due to social media communities like Bookstagram and BookTok.

Countries at the U.N. COP16 summit on nature on Friday approved a measure to create a permanent body for #Indigenous peoples to consult on United Nations decisions about nature conservation.
The consultative body is considered a breakthrough in recognizing the role that Indigenous peoples play in conserving nature globally, including some of the most biodiverse areas of the planet, according to Indigenous and environmental advocates.
This took WAY WAY too long.
Rowing and using the ab coaster are great for me and they are exercises that I love.Neither requires me to have to get up and down off the floor which is hard for me do to #MCTD and the #chronicpain that goes along with that.
The #Aviron rower has an incredible captains seat that is high off the ground (stool height) so it's very easy to get on and off of and the new ab coaster I have is just kneeling on a very, very soft and comfortable cushion.
I'm thankful to have room for both machines.
Thanks to #PCOS my biggest problem area is the midsection.
Women with PCOS are often easy to spot because body shape; arms and legs are super thin and the middle is where everything settles.

Got a ways to go but I'm pretty confident that I'll reach my goal considering I haven't done HARDLY ANYTHING since August and I'm down 2.9%.
The #ZoZoFit is great because when I work out, thanks to PCOS, I bulk up crazy fast. My muscle growth if I consistently row for a few weeks gets crazy and just going by a scale it always looks like I am gaining weight and my stupid doctors think so as well. With a body scan I can show them a more accurate view of what's going on with my body.

89/94 going into the weekend. 👍🏾
Month end is when @IronButterfly and I get a bunch of things done including our body scans with #ZoZoFit. Don't we look lovely in our scan outfits 🤣 🤣
I haven't updated my scan in a while only because I keep forgetting to do it.
I'm doing pretty well when it comes to my health and fitness but I just wanted to get a new starting point now that my apartment gym area is finished and I can get back on track. 🎉
