Not everything is for you.
Not everything centers you.
Not everything is about you.

This includes media such as books, television shows, movies, video games; people have different interests and different things that appeal to them ...

This also includes objects such as devices, accessibility items, and different tools that aid people who need them.

Some things are not necessarily designed with you in mind and they don't need to be.

You're not the center of the universe.

Instead of spending your energy on trashing things that don't appeal to you or that weren't made with you in mind, perhaps a better use of your time would be finding things that DO appeal to you and DO tick your specific boxes.

Instead of spending your energy on being a troll and unleashing your negativity into the world because you're angry at not being considered the center of the universe, perhaps a better use of your time would be seeking therapy or some way of regulating your emotions.

It's weird how often people need this kind of reminder. It's insane how entitled people feel these days. It's almost like the harder living life becomes, the more entitled people feel ... as if merely surviving every single day without giving up automatically entitles people to be centered.

I hate to break it to you but there are a lot of people out in the world surviving ... it's not a competition and it doesn't mean you're special or that you're more deserving of things for choosing life.

I'm tired of the STRUGGLE OLYMPICS, the OPPRESSION OLYMPICS, the MISERY RELAYS, the gatekeeping and every single other thing people use to try and ensure that everyone is always in competition with one another instead of actually just LISTENING, UNDERSTANDING, and SUPPORTING each other.

This country brainwashes everyone into believing every single thing is a competition ... it's not.

Life is life and everyone has different struggles. It's not about who is "winning".

Just because you decided to wake up today does not automatically give you the right to demand that everything should be about you.

Just because someone wrote a book or a video game or a television show that features someone of a culture, sex, age group, or ethnicity that is different from you doesn't mean anything is being take from you or that the world is somehow going to hell.

If you think this ... you seriously need a mental wellness check and/or therapy.

I hate to break it to you but ... OTHER PEOPLE EXIST IN THE SAME WORLD YOU EXIST IN.

It may come as a shock to you but try and take a breath and really understand what this means ...

It means YOU are NOT the CENTER of the universe and that YOU are NOT the ONLY person who exists in the world.

I know it's hard to understand, but do your best.

I imagine it's hard to accept reality when you're delusional, neurotic, and a sociopath but ... at least pretend to try.

People have different likes, needs, preferences, needs, health concerns, financial needs, family situations, mental health levels, interests, desires, professions, accents, tastes, intelligence, wants, turn ons, turn offs, life paths, hairstyles, head shapes, body shapes, education levels, social access, and psychological profiles THAN YOU .... did you know that?

Did you also know that none of it needs to be your business and that you don't need to comment negatively or at all on ANY OF IT?

If you have time to make everyone else's life and interests the target of your vitriol then you're simply not busy enough or fulfilled enough in your own life.

Get a hobby. Get a job. Get therapy. Get refocused on what life really should be about ... and I will give you a hint: it shouldn't be about making other people, especially strangers, miserable.

If you really believe that your role in life is to judge, control, or try to destroy the lives of others ... you might be a trash person.

I love that I just tried to write about a slice of this concept in a more delicate way with my latest Patreon post, but I 100% vibe more with the whole of this thread, which sums it up so much more succinctly and forcefully. Thank you for your VOICE. ❤️💪❤️

@MLClark I've never been delicate ❤️ I just don't have that kind of energy. My parents always tried to force me into this way of being "demure and mindful"
so I would make the family look good and not be a "loud and disruptive Black person" etc but it never sat well with me along with forcing silence and "keep your female mouth shut". I guess I just have never been one for making things palatable ... some things should be hard to swallow. ❤️

@MLClark Thanks for always being accepting of who I am and the voice that I move through the world with. I've always been thankful that CoSo is a place where I can be me without death threats and unkindness.

@thewebrecluse

🫂♥️ What a frustratingly low bar - but also, pretty much the best we can hope for from the world most days, eh?

I'm so thankful that you hold firm to what makes you YOU. Not without times when it's tested! But still, when you're attacked or suppressed, you know *what* is being attacked or suppressed. And that's a hell of a lot better than many who go their whole lives without the self-awareness to realize what's been taken, or what they've been taught to steal from themselves. 🔥

@MLClark *nodding frantically* yes yes yes and more yes. And my favorite ... being my authentic self helps trash take itself out whenever it makes itself known. It's a kind of wonderful automation that makes sorting people very easy as well. 🤣

@thewebrecluse

🤣🤣🤣 "Come for the authentic self-knowledge! Stay for its efficiency!"

LOVE IT. ♥️🔥♥️🔥
