I had my physical yesterday and just being out and talking with my doctor was difficult. I did get confirmation of what I was thinking about the COVID vaccine and how it runs me into the ground but more on that later.

I've been using to track my and it has been really helpful in ways I didn't expect. With my I have been "counting spoons" since college ... but now I have more data to go with that.

The experience will begin with gaming but it doesn’t end there. It’s designed to expand across different entertainment mediums with every new story you consume. Multiple stories that come together to form one big adventure, a storytelling approach that unfolds a single narrative across multiple platforms, each one contributing uniquely to the overall experience.

These archetypes are not "allies" ... they are perpetuating the problem.

Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai are the first Japanese actors to win in their respective categories - outstanding lead actress and lead actor - and is now the first non-English-language winner of the best drama Emmy.

Shogun swept the Emmys, making history by claiming 14 awards and setting a record for the most Emmy wins by a show in a single year. The previous record holder was “Game of Thrones” with 12 wins in 2015.

Someone orange jumped up on my bed at 2:30 this morning and has been spending time with me ever since. Rarely does Tauri keep me company in the mornings which makes me think there is something wrong with me or something wrong with him. He hasn't left my side. He seems his usual self but just very cuddly. He even let me spoon him for a while which has never happens.

Spent ALL day playing with @IronButterfly. I am so super proud of her.

She never plays games like this -souls-like, "Git Gud" games that really require you to learn boss mechanics and simply "git gud" in order to kill the boss. She gives up, she gets frustrated, she doubts herself, sometimes she even cries ... what she doesn't do is push through and actually learn what she needs to learn to succeed. In this game she absolutely DID and she kicked ass. She LEARNED. We did great!

Actual conversation ...

Person: What's your favorite movie?
Me: In what genre?
Person: Genre? (laughs) Ok nevermind.

I always prefer it when trash takes itself out. It means I have to do less work to protect my peace.

People often ask questions that they don't actually want answers to because they aren't truly looking for connection. They're bored and/or just want to talk about themselves.

It's like "How are you?" which is usually meaningless these days.

I'm still looking for something as good as Susan Dennard's series. What an unexpected and epic surprise that was ... but as of yet I haven't been impressed with anything in the same genre.

Still looking though!

Some upcoming I'll be diving into next week.

Manners and Monsters series which is like Bridgeton meets Supernatural ...

The first DCI Evan Warlow book which I started and then discovered JD Kirk's Jack Logan novels. I will finish this series. I loved Warlow.

Steamborn: The Complete Trilogy. I'll listen to almost anything read by Saskia Maarleveld. She's a marvel.

House of Crimson Hearts. Anais Inara Chase is an ASTOUNDING narrator, I will always listen to anything she reads. ❤️

I almost finished The Wren In The Holly Library this morning ... just a few more chapters to go. It kind of turned into a gross sex book and Iost interest. I'm really not into female authors who write about women who are ... abused, broken, fiercely independent, strong willed, and kick ass but who love to be dominated by men who call them creepy pet names and use the word "pussy". The sex scenes were also hella cringe, I had to skip over them. Stephanie Németh-Parker's narration is epic though.

The news that has been recommissioned for a second series absolutely BLEW my mind and also @IronButterfly's. We enjoyed the series with Jing Lusi as DS Hana Li and Lesley Sharp was SO good in her role as Head of MI5.

The two women were amazing together but it was NOT the kind of show that I thought ohhh I'd love to see more. It was a wild ride and it ended brilliantly and I remember thinking I'd love to see Jing Lusi in other things.

This is a huge surprise and I'm genuinely excited!

It’s always big news when Jimmy McGovern writes a new drama and the BBC has announced that he has written a new single-episode, as-yet-untitled story that will explore the impact of grooming and sexual abuse on one family.

AND are set to star and I will ABSOLUTELY be there with bells on for this epicness!!!!!!!!!!!!

More news as I have it!

Casting parts is one of Wannabe’s specialties—so this handmade machine is littered with cast aluminum and brass adornments on everything from the engine covers and rear wheel hub cover, to the myriad brass parts that replace all the plastic bits on the carb.

Wannabe created cast brass inlays for the tank and seat in lieu of a paint job. They bear the shop’s slogan, ‘Soli Deo Gloria.’ Used by classical composers like Bach and Handel, it’s Latin for ‘glory to God alone.’

Wannabe constructed the frame out of aluminum tubing, and then cast the fuel tank, rear fender, and seat out of aluminum. The auxiliary parts are welded directly to the frame, effectively making them part of the chassis and adding stability.

The crankcase is built out of fragments of a Vespa engine that Wannabe cut up, welded back together, and finished off with cast parts. The cylinder and head are heavily modified Malossi parts.

Enrico ‘Ricky’ de Haas founded Wannabe-Choppers at just 15, brimming with imagination and unaffected by the conventions that often accompany adulthood. 20 years later, he’s still breaking the mold.

Based in Hüttenberg, just north of Frankfurt in Germany, Wannabe’s latest build is a 172 cc two-stroke land speed motorcycle with a curb weight of just 53 kilos [117 lbs]. There’s no front brake, the seat barely exists, and the bike is almost certainly not street-legal. But it is absolutely epic.
