If anyone enjoys comedy podcasts, I can't recommend "Hey Riddle Riddle" enough. It's pretty much the ONLY podcast I consistently listen to, and the chaotic energy is the perfect level.
The premise is simply trying to solve riddles, and often do little improv sketches based on the riddles or their wrong answers... Although they often go very far off the rails, very quickly.
Oh, and they all basically hate riddles.
@Darnell And there's one in particular, the Black Reaper, who has no cost to pay for using his powers... He's the hero of the show, and is trying to uncover a nefarious plot as to why the stars fell and what's going on with the "contractors" (people with powers) and "dolls" (people seemingly taken over by spirits of sorts)
It's by the same people who did Cowboy Bebop... Also, incredible soundtrack.
@Darnell The guy in charge of the English dub (best English dub I've ever seen btw, they didn't just translate, they adapted culturally) said "If you like Fringe, The X Men, and Batman the Animated Series, you'll like Darker Than Black" and he isn't wrong there.
That's the best description I can give. Stars fell from the sky, Tokyo is walled off, and there's people with odd powers lurking in the shadows, but if they use the powers, there's a price they pay each time. Detective discovers them...
Watching The Timeless Children (Doctor Who) and currently wondering why everyone is all hating on the Chibnall era Who. All I can think is that they're the people who were obsessed with the River Song era of Moffatt's run, where literally everything was all "the feels" with minimal substance??
I'm just honestly confused why people hated this season/era so much, when this feels the most like the more classic Who than anything post-Eccleston.
@redsheri1 @you_mountebank I believe this is game 2.
@Rise4rmdarkness My plan for my post-bath evening is Doctor Who and whiskey...
@Bruce412 @JHills I like to think of the firehose in terms of the old streaming chat rooms/systems in the late 90s... Just everyone talking and chatting and sharing and it just streams by and you just jump in and see what's going on at that moment.
Take that, and add the ability to filter into sub-chat streams using keywords...
Nothing "trending" just active chatting.
@linuxnerd6996 My old slogan I came up with for Gentoo is "Cross your fingers, and hope it works!"
If you just left the Bird app and would like to read a terrific article about how screwed Ewok Muck is, feel free to browse this beauty from Verge. It gave me joy.
@kay_dub @th3j35t3r I forgot about that damn whale.
@Iamstaceylynn Stroke survivor here too. Hooray for surviving!
@linuxnerd6996 I'm a hardcore Gentoo fan... But I've used most every major distro. Been using Linux since 97 or so. Currently on Win 11 due to necessity of audio software, but my backup laptop is on Gentoo compiling simply for the comfort of watching shit compile.
Watching code scroll by is my happy place.
@Madamofthenight I use Tusky, and I like it a lot more than even the mastodon app... I still keep the coso app, mostly for posting images due to the exif data removal, but Tusky feels more comfortable to me.
@linuxnerd6996 Linux nerds unite!
@ThenScottWrote Oh, old Twitter... It was such a delight! "Microblogging"
Honestly, I'm kind of missing Google+ these days too.
The one... The only...
