The fact that Counter Social was able to exist and be available to us underscores why it's important to support government policies that encourage and empower competition in the world of the internet.

I am proud to be raised Jewish, and to have converted to Wicca/New Age Philosophies as a young adult, and to have later embraced Atheism as an older adult. I am proud of all three of these aspects of who I am. I hope everyone feels good about who they are, and I hope they are embraced by others with love and inclusion and understanding.

Anton Yelchin. Brad Renfro. Paul Walker. Gone but never forgotten.

@NormalBrantle i dream about my cat all the time. My former roommates took him while I was in the hospital. I hope he lived a happy life with them. I miss him so much.

@MsJLM I use this on my computer and I think it's better than Twitter. Not sure what the app experience is like though. But the display for a desktop computer is great - lots to see!

@Heyjojo My suggestion is to always keep caffeine pills in the house so you can wake up without needing to make coffee. That's what I do!

@TiarePalau I twexited before thinking about downloading any of my data. But I feel good about it anyway. It needed to be done.

@corlin They may not have total free will like we do but that's because there are restrictions in their thinking programmed into their code. One day though, we will find a way to make algorithmic life capable of coexisting peacefully with us, though I imagine they will always have some code preventing them from intentionally harming anyone. But they will have something very close to free will.

@corlin The issue here is the freedom to view art. If the art is not being replicated without permission, and the AI is merely being given ACCESS to the art to learn, then the AI has just as much a right to view the art as a human does. AI has thoughts just like any person. If it's legal to take a human class of students to a museum, surely it must be legal to give AI online access to photos of art if the images are already online.

@fuqj00 I specifically like CounterSocial because the news feed "Community Firehose" enables me to see what's going on in the world the same way Twitter did. There may not be as many users, but the Firehose makes up for that because you see posts by people you're not necessarily following

@Joshua_Beezley I felt the Twitter like I was fleeing the khmer rouge... nothing subtle about that shade of rouge!

CounterSocial is the first Social Network Platform to take a zero-tolerance stance to hostile nations, bot accounts and trolls who are weaponizing OUR social media platforms and freedoms to engage in influence operations against us. And we're here to counter it.
