1/2: Well... I did a lot of work in the house, rearranging the rooms and all, buuuuuuut... I seem to have gotten not only carried away but lost track of time as well. Shortly ago I noticed it was dark out, and the place is kinda a wreck. The mattress delivery is tomorrow late-morning, and all I think I can manage by then it to make a path from the front door to my bedroom (in the back of the house).
The house is so clean now, though, you could eat lunch off of any surface, not the area rugs...
: Hey, @GaryPoole!
The existence of a gravy boat and a gravy train implies an entire gravy transportation system. Why isn’t anyone talking about this?
: First it was Jewish space lasers, and now it's global weather control.
I swear loads of people on the Left have got to be lamenting that decades ago they had done away with IQ tests and such as qualifiers to be able to vote.
: Bone jaw, everyone.
I have been muy ocupado here at the domicile since returning from the housesitting. Moved my bedroom furniture to another room, again. Moved furniture around the main room, again. Rearranging the kitchen everything again. Doing the once-a-month basement cleaning. I am so domestic. I tell ya, if I wasn't so strange, someone would be tempted to snap me up and keep me.
Anyway, the morning has beginned, and I've things to do before today's errandry.

OFFICER: Can you describe your attacker?
JRR TOLKIEN: Yes, but it'll take a while.
Satan: And this is the lake of lava, where you will burn for eternity.
Me: Actually, when it's underground like this, it's called magma, not lava.
Satan: You do realize, this is why you're here.
: usually, though not always
Many folks believe that if they don't believe 100% in lock-step but only 70% with the GOP or Dems they are somehow not "on the Right" or on the Left". It's semantics. They're usually, wisely, trying to avoid arguments by tankies on both sides who are out skewering everyone not wearing the varsity team jersey.
: One thing about music in the 1970s was that a lot of songs went on way too long. I got to thinking about that this morning over the last half an hour, listening to my nostalgia station. I remember many years ago watching an episode of “Behind The Music” on VH1, and they pointed that out and featured several musicians and stars from the decade. When asked about it, many of them chuckled, and a few cringed. Some attributed it to the drugs being gone at the time. 😄
: The family of a guy I know in Charlotte are causing him some real stress. It’s his mom, stepfather, and sister that live near Lakeland. They don’t want to evacuate because they think looters might come and steal a bunch of their stuff. Jimmy’s younger brother and his family left the area crazy early yesterday morning on a church(?) bus headed up towards Charleston, South Carolina with evacuees. There are apparently Floridians, who could certainly leave but won’t because “all mah stuff”. Crazy.

: It happens more than it gets credit for, maybe because it's a very, very rarely taught/used word.
