: The antidepressant I'm currently on is mainly just making me gain weight. It's about ten pounds in two months, so far.

Rx psychoactives rarely work on me the way they're supposed to. I usually just get the side effects in force, usually to the point they're worsen the depression. So balance is fleeting across the board longitudinally.

It's... unique, being the only RIMA antidepressant currently on the market. Efficacy is comparable to SSRIs, but tolerability is much better - it has basically no side effects for most people.

Have you considered L-methylfolate? Sometimes treatment resistant depression appears to be linked with one or more MTHFR genetic variants.

I have a client who began taking the methylated folate (suggested by her PCP) and she responded almost immediately with improved mood & energy.

It can be a game changer.
