@BruceG of course, it makes them DINO's, but they're more than that. It's not simply that they're not very good Democrats, but that they are pretenders, part of an underhanded plot by the GOP to infiltrate and harm their party. Most DINO's aren't intentionally deceptive like that, they just don't measure up to other dems' standards.
Does anyone else besides myself believe that "democrats" like Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Tulsi Gabbard, etc., aren't merely democrats in name only, but have been planted in the Democratic Party by the GOP, in order to destroy the party from within? I think they know exactly what they're doing, and as they pretend to be democrats, they serve their master Trump.
For those who missed it a couple of days ago, some friends & I recorded a tribute to those we've lost & to artists affected by #Covid. It was meant to be a one-off project, but we've had a lot of great feedback so have decided we're going to keep working together on more material next year, including some originals.
A few people mentioned wanting to be able to boost this video, so it's now up on YouTube 🎸

Oh, joy. I never thought I would live to see the extinction of the human race. And maybe I won't, but I probably won't miss it by much.
Tired thoughts on a tired evening.

My Favorite Randy Rainbow of all time.
If you don't find this fabulous and funny, I'm probably not someone you want to follow.
@grapho perhaps the GOP are trying to end Cawthorn's career precisely because his accusations of orgies and cocaine use are completely true, and they want to cover that up. If that IS the case, the hypocrisy of that party of the so-called "moral majority" is now far beyond anything I've ever expected from them. And I expect quite a lot...
@grapho in addition to the completely valid reasons you've mentioned for shaming Madison Cawthorn, I'd also like to add that he has publicly stated that he is ready and willing to kill other Americans, if he decides it has become necessary. Beyond that, it's certainly inappropriate to shame him because he might be gay or bisexual, but very appropriate to shame him for the hypocrisy of engaging in gay behavior while at the same time, advocating for discrimination against LGBTQ people.
As Democrats, we know that there are more enough reasons to hold Madison Cawthorn accountable without shaming what he does in the privacy of his own bedroom. It's a Republican tactic to cynically destroy people for who they are or who they love. That's not us.
Instead, we're going to remind people that Madison Cawthorn is a coward and hypocrite who attacks and bullies the most vulnerable people in our society for no more reasons than his own vanity and selfishness and insecurity. [3 of 5]
@Janet lately, I've been listening to their songs "Stars" and "Something
Got Me Started" a lot. Mick Hucknall's voice is incredibly soulful.
@Janet I started listening to Simply Red back in the 80s and still love all of their music.
@TheNewsOwl for those who are wondering, that's a completely different Kidd Creole than Kid Creole of Kid Creole and the Coconuts (showcased in the movie Purple Rain).
@ucantstop_me I can't say I agree with most of the principles espoused by the Satanic Temple, but they're absolutely right that you can't advocate for free speech rights for members of one religion, without also affording those same rights to all other faiths. I completely support their action.
