100+ local councils had #elections yesterday.
After a mere 27 councils have declared their results, the Tories have already lost over 80 councillors! It's a bloodbath and it's about damned time!

I always *finish* a savoury cobbler with grated cheese. However, while I was grating the cheese, I thought to myself, "I wonder if it would make a difference if I put some cheese *in* the scome mix!"

So next time, that's what I'm going to try. I'll need to work on the fat:flour ratio (or just look up a recipe, but where 's the fun in that?) to still get the right texture.

Our new floodgate was fitted today. It is *very* substantial and we are really pleased.
It has two panels (seen here leaning against the wall) which screw down tightly with large bolts. The whole thing comes about ¼ the way up the door. When it rains, I shall sleep much better knowing it's there.
