Very close to scrapping the Bandit!
Electrical issues *again*. Can't even get dash lights up. Jump start was a no go, too.
I suspect the entire 24 year old wiring loom needs replacing at this point.
Well, the bike is now parked up in my Mum's driveway until we can work out what the hell to do.
Can't afford to repair *or* replace!
It's getting tiresome. Every time we feel like our finances are in control we get hit hard.

Fuck it!

Found an OEM loom and switch set on ebay for about £80. That's helpful at least.
I'll talk to the mechanic on money about the cost of fitting them. Hopefully it'll solve the issue in a way I can afford. Might even ask about paying in instalments. You never know. They might go for it.

@stueytheround that's terrible. Sorry you're dealing with that. If you've had to jump start it very often that alone could have done in the wiring.

My scooter just had a problem where I thought the battery was bad because it was screwed in tight and still not delivering power. I took it out and put a multimeter on it to verify it's giving a good 12 volts (it was) then put it back in and suddenly it was fine. Didn't look corroded but scraping up the contacts somehow did the trick.

@Fellixe Yeah tried those things. No joy. It's had a few issues electrically for a while, but this time it seems "terminal" (pun intended).

@stueytheround Where are you located? (On the million to one chance you are near me.) I like fixing problematic electrical sh*t.
