Oh for FUCK SAKE!
Our washing machine just made a lot of VERY loud bangs and died! Like horrendous noise. Every time we get our bloody finances under control something hits us!
@kismatt @stueytheround Agree if it still has power, has to be mechanical like a belt or loose motor mount. Make sure the machine is level. Large, heavy loads make the imbalance 10x worse and will screw things up.
@stueytheround Is it a repairable or a "smart" device that is useless after it craps out?
One can be handled easier than the other...
Regardless, condolences.
@sentientdessert Probably repairable. It's something mechanical. However, by the time you factor in labour charges it will likely be less expensive to replace it.
We've had it for at least 12 years. It's done well to be fair. Just the timing is shitty.
Ouch! If it's any consolation, I'm likely facing serious $ outlay on towing and transmission work on my trio's only vehicle. There is but one transmission shop in my rural area and the earliest date I could get is the 28th.
@stueytheround That is the way it always happens. The minute one has a bit extra something breaks
@stueytheround If it's not one thing, it's three things.
@aspecurian So far today I've lost a tooth and a washing machine! π€£
I hope the third is a minor problem!
@stueytheround Better stub a toe quick.
@aspecurian π€£
@stueytheround I'll be willing to bet it just lost the belt.
