Remember: We didn't evolve alongside online tech. It is *very new* for our brain chemistry as a species, which means that the way it plays on our reward response and around hormones for threats/stress is *hugely* out of whack with real danger.
Right now we're all super primed to see threats in others' posts. Death is unfolding as news spectacle, & some are 💯 confrontationally posting to grieve/vent.
Just don't to let the screen consume you. Touch grass. Hug a loved one. Hydrate. 🫂
I've been reading that the only way we can lessen the divide between us is by going back into our communities and beginning to talk to one another again. It's harder to hate people that you talk to face-to-face with a basic degree of respect and cordiality. Don't have to agree, just have to practice being civil to our neighbors and acquaintances. Participating in community projects also helps.
After that, bankrollers and operatives.
I'm ready for the next tier of indictments...members of Congress.

I was thinking earlier about how much better friendships are when you are older. You don't have all the distractions like when you were younger. And you don't feel you have to compete with one another all the time. You know who you are and have nothing to prove. That's a good place to be in.
