Back in the day of manual SLR cameras, you could buy a screw on "filter" type attachment that would create a telephoto or wide lens effects, but the outcomes weren't very good.

This moon shot, on the other hand, looks great at the size it appears in the column!

If you search "clip on camera lens" in google, you'll see several different brands from different retailers. They all seem to be 20 to 40 bucks and of a similar quality. Everything apart from the plastic clip itself is made from alloy. Well built and solid and with a bit of practice you can get great results.
