I'm glad I was a teenager in the 1990s. The current aesthetic for young men makes them look like a garden gnome who became radicalized while getting a haircut at a Turkish barber.
It's just not a good look.
@CrypticMirror high and tight looks good on a lot of guys, especially square jaws. Don't forget Nazis were dressed in Hugo Boss too and they're still around.
Fascists don't get to own fashion.
It provides a pretty good shorthand on who is a walking redflag. Absent any other social cues, I'm going to take someone who knowingly chooses the Hitler Youth Hairstyle at their barbershop word. There are better hairstyles for the square jawed types, ones with more positive stereotypes attached.
Now you know why I swoon when I see a well-groomed man who is not wearing sweats, flip flops & scraggy hair/beard.
@stuartblair At least it is an improvement on a couple of years ago, when they all seemed to get the 'Hitler Youth' haircut.
