I know there a few olds here on CoSo. I encourage to get more involved in the world. One way I found, if you don't already have a local organization to work with. Is to join "Third Act". It is very low key, no fund raising. Just simple one on one help. I just started working with some local folks. And so far it has been great. All experienced folk welcome, different campaigns to work on.

Daily musing. The difference between siblings.
My daughter tells me about a homeless man she encountered while at the gas station. He was chilled to the bone after sleeping outside all night. She bought him the largest coffee they had to try to warm him up.
My son responds that he did the same. He then declares that he had done his good deed for the day; so, now he gets to be an asshole for the rest of the day.
